Every believe has a different story but Christ is the center of all of them. Beau Burnham is no exception.
Even though he was raised in Church, he didn't really come to Christ until later in life. He'd attended church but it just wasn't that important to him. Until he found himself in a struggling marriage.
As he began to seek The Lord, he saw himself more clearly and he didn't like what he saw.
God's work wasn't quick but it's been a tremendous change. Now, he's working with the For All Mankind Movement. He's overseas making disciples and training others to do the same.
Life in Ministry
Beau ministers primarily in the Middle East and in Asia. As part of the For All Mankind Movement, he focuses on:
And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable people who will also be qualified to teach others. (2 Timothy 2:2)
Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted. Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” (Matthew [28:16]-20)
- Beau couldn't imagine living oversees without being fully surrendered to Christ and led by the Holy Spirit.
- He wishes he would have surrendered sooner.
Personal Success Habit
- It's not a single thing but, rather, practicing a yielded and submitted life, walking by faith in truth and light. That means he has to spend time in the Word and listening to the Holy Spirit.

Shifts in Society
Beau shared several key insights about connecting with people who are from other cultures. One of the most insightful (to me) was about understanding that we view things largely as right and wrong. But it's not that way in all cultures. Some other cultures have vastly different values and understandings of what's important.
Those values inform how we see the world.

Personally, I recommend the Bible. Just about any translation. You can't go wrong to have God's word available when you're driving to work, out for a walk, or working out. It's what I did when I joined Audible over 7 years ago.
