God snatched John Stephenson (pen name) from the pits of hell and radically transformed his life. His childhood was far from ideal with an atheist father and a drug-addicted mother.

Many of his relatives are in prison, and he was likely destined for hell until God intervened. Though he “served” God for years, it wasn't until he realized he'd missed out on a relationship with God that things really changed.

Since God got ahold of John, he's served in music ministry, started a homeless ministry, and has been working with youth for the past 11 years. Now, instead of leaving a trail of destruction, he brings life to those around him.

Key Scripture

Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers. (Galatians 6:9-10 NIV)

Personally, I recommend the Bible. Just about any translation. You can't go wrong to have God's word available when you're driving to work, out for a walk, or working out. It's what I did when I joined Audible over 7 years ago.
