Advancing the Kingdom

Together, we can help equip the Global Church to reach Muslims.

There are millions of people who have never heard the Gospel, but not all of us are called to go. Some of us are called to stay, pray, and give. To invest in people and organizations who are equipping the Church to share the Gospel in hard-to-reach areas.

If that's you, I'd encourage you to watch this short video to learn more about what Global Initiative is doing and then pray and consider how you can be involved.

As you pray, if God challenges you to give a gift or make a faith promise to pour into this ministry, I'd encourage you to let us know so that we can all celebrate what God's doing through us.

What's the deal with Global Initiative?

Global Organization

Global Initiative is a missions ministry of the Assemblies of God. They have access to a wide network of churches and high-quality resources to share with the Church at large.

Building Partnerships

Global Initiative partners with churches and denominations around the world to make sure they get the right people to the right places for training and equipping. Regardless of denomination or nationality.

Financially Responsible

In keeping with their mission, Global Initiative keeps their costs low to maximize their ministry. At least 86% of every donation goes directly to providing resources or training.

2 Corinthians 9:7

Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.

Please, take some time to pray about this. Ask God for an actual number that He would like to provide through you. Not something you will provide. Something He will provide. Something you will trust HIM for.

If you feel like you shouldn't be a part of this – no sweat. Seriously.

But if God does give you a number, write it down. Make sure you involve the other people in your family. And when you believe you have heard from God, please let us know what you're trusting God for (use the form below).

When you do, I'd like to send you some resources. Resources about trusting God to provide, about making missions part of your family life, reminders, and more. And I'd like to make sure we can all celebrate God's faithfulness and ridiculous generosity together.

After a couple of weeks, I'll share the number that I am trusting God to provide through us and also what we have pledged to give. And I'll continue to give updates throughout the year.

Let's make this a year of incredible breakthroughs as we trust God to provide what He says He will!

Frequently Asked Questions

In case you want to know

How much of this fundraiser benefits Engaging Missions?

None of it. Not even a cent of your donations will pass through my hands and there are no kickbacks. All donations pass directly through the Assemblies of God and are handled by them.

What percentage of my donation goes to cover actual ministry costs?

As with any organization, the Assemblies of God has overhead costs to pay for support and materials for ongoing ministry. However, they work to keep their costs low and at least 86% of all donations will go directly to providing resources or training through Global Initiative. Additionally, because Global Initiative provides training and resources rather than ongoing on-site missionaries, a small gift now will continue to yield fruit through the efforts of the local Body of Christ for years to come.

What does Global Initiative do?

Global Initiative is focused on providing resources and training for the global Church to share the Gospel and provide discipleship for their Muslim neighbors.

Are my donations tax exempt?

The Assemblies of God is a registered 501(c)3 organization in the United States, so US citizens should see a tax benefit for their donations. However, I am not a tax professional and am certainly not a tax professional as it relates to international situations. If you have specific questions about donations and tax status, please contact the Assemblies of God directly for further information.

Why did you choose to raise funds for Global Initiative?

When I was considering a partnership to raise funds, I was looking for a few things: a globally-recognized organization, financial responsibility, and cross-denominational partnerships – to name three. I found all three of these with Global Initiative.

Additionally, the way I've grown my podcast has always been through relationships. In other words, “Who do I know and who do they know?” I've seldom reached out to someone I didn't know who wasn't also referred by someone I did know. And that's how I became aware of Global Initiative.

My brother was holding a fundraiser for Global Initiative and invited me, with the hopes that I would also raise funds for them.

Will you raise funds for other organizations in the future?

I can't say for sure. I'm taking this one day at a time. But I sure hope to raise more funds in the future.

I can't give? How can I help?

Two words: pray and advocate.

Pray that we would be effective in raising all the funds we should – to invest in what God is doing through Global Initiative. Pray for God's blessing, for fruitfulness, for wisdom, for creative ideas, for protection and wisdom. Pray for God's continued guidance and protection for all who are involved with (or trained by) Global Initiative.

And be an advocate. Help spread the word about this amazing ministry. Invite others to be a part of this fundraiser. Cheer us on and join in the celebration. As the body of Christ, we're all in this together!
